Lion and Lamb Residue from the 1800s
Written by Carol Serpa (Grams Gold) on .
Many remember Isaiah 11:6 as reading that the “lion shall lie down with the lamb” and not “the wolf” as it now reads. See residue from as far back as the early 1800s and hear John Hagee’s sermon on the millennium, saying the “lion shall lie down with the lamb” TEN TIMES!
Evidence as to how things "used to be" is called residue, and we use it as evidence to bolster what we remember as being fact. Why would all this evidence in the 1800s for lion and lamb be found, and none for the wolf and the lamb?
Note that very recently, images are coming up on internet searches that show the wolf and the lamb, but they were created in the last couple of years, as I searched for them 3 years ago and could find NONE.
In 1922 Thomas Osborn wrote a book called The Lion and the Lamb: A Drama of the Apocalypse.
The plot thickens, as pointed out by Awakened Saint. He says that people use to tell him that he was confusing the lion in Isaiah 11:6 with Isaiah 65:25, which now says "the wolf and the lamb shall feed together"! Hear his comment here.
In the following video, John Hagee preaches on Isaiah 11, saying how the lion and the lamb will lie together over 10 times.
